On 18 November 2024, the New Energies Forum Feldheim was recognised as an extracurricular learning venue by the Brandenburg BNE* Service Centre for its outstanding educational work in the field of sustainability. After a short keynote speech by Minister Axel Vogel (Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg), all newly certified educational stakeholders in the state of Brandenburg were presented with their BNE certificates.
With this BNE certification, the Brandenburg BNE Service Centre aims to make the quality of education for sustainable development in extracurricular education in Brandenburg transparent. As part of the certification process, extracurricular education stakeholders are given the opportunity to reflect on and further develop their own educational work in line with the BNE quality criteria, true to the motto of making education better together. In the afternoon of the day, the educational work continued: concepts, methods and ideas for educational work with children, young people and adults in the field of BNE were discussed, developed and debated in workshops.
On behalf of our education team, we would like to thank everyone involved! We are now looking forward to all upcoming projects!
*BNE is a short form “Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung”, this could be translated as “education for sustainable development”
